The 6 days of Christmas

Hello blog world.

I haven't died. I have just made a decision to post more pictures on my blog and now my camera battery died and I can't find the charger and hence no blog.

Someday soon I will find the charger but until then I will just write a blog with no pictures. And since most of my blog readers are above the age of 5 - this should be acceptable.

Anyways. Here is a song I am writing for Josh and I's first Christmas together. I mean, I am just going to write it right now. It's not like I've been sitting up writing it. Just thought I would clarify so you don't think I am a bigger nerd than you might already think.

On the first day of Christmas my true love game to me....a ladder so that we could paint our ugly mid-90s kitchen. This is no joke. We went to Lowe's and bought a ladder and said "merry Christmas" to each other. The good news is that now we can change our air filter. The bad news is that I got a ladder for Christmas.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me....two seasons of Dexter watched in a matter of 48 hours. Yes, this is the best show ever and Josh and I stayed up until 3 am watching it. Nothing like celebrating the savior's birth by watching a show about a serial killer. Tis the season!

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me....three walls to paint and we painted them all without fighting about paint drips on the trim! Yes, we were very proud of ourselves - no fights. no tears. Just a beige kitchen with pretty straight lines. Well, maybe some OCD people wouldn't think they were straight, but they are an improvement for us and I am thrilled!

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me....four pairs of jeans that I can no longer wear due to all the cookies I've been making. This is pretty much true. I am defintely relying on stretch denim to get me to new year and then it's Biggest Loser Bootcamp for this post-married chub a lub. I can't step on a scale cuz I don't want to know the damage. All I know is that I had a mountain dew for breakfast this morning and cookies for lunch. I need help!

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me....5 new blogs to stalk. Well I didn't actually count them, but I have become obsessed with blogs lately. I mean, some people are so cool! I am so impressionable. But I always look at people's life and think their blogs make them look cool and exciting. I like blogs with instructions on how to do things and also pictures. Maybe somesday I'll do a blog like that, but I am pretty sure no one needs step by step instruction on how to eat cookie dough in front of the TV....

On the 6th day of Christmas my true love gave to me....6 new pots and pans that took me about 3 hours to decide on. That's right. In all my indecisiveness I could absolutely NOT decide which pots and pans set to buy. Do I go stainless? Do I die of cancer and get teflon coated pans? Is God sovreign and will teflon coated pans really change the number of days he has for me? All this goes through my mind as I stand chewing off my fingernails in the middle of Kohls trying to decide. I went with non stick Calphalon. Hope they do no dissapoint. Also, hope the non stick coating at high temperatures does not cause my my cells to rapidly multiply. Fingers crossed.

Ok....and that does it for the twelve days of Christmas. I can't think of anything else that goes with 7-12....and I this post is getting long!

Till next time sweet blog visitors:) Hopefully next time I can post pics of our new carefully painted kitchen:)
